LTC Jason A. Haynes
Lieutenant Colonel Jason A. Haynes was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. LTC Haynes is a Distinguished Military Graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and commissioned in 2005 as Second Lieutenant in the Ordnance Corps. LTC Haynes’ military education includes the Ordnance Officer Basic Course, the Combined Logistics Captain’s Career Course, the U.S. Naval War College Command and General Staff College-Intermediate Level Education, and Maritime Advanced Warfare School. His civilian education consists of a Bachelor of Arts and two Master of Art’s in National Security and Strategic Studies from U.S. Naval War College.
LTC Haynes’ past assignments include: Platoon Leader and Battalion Motor Officer, E Company, Forward Support Company, 2-2 Assault Aviation Battalion at K-16 Airbase, South Korea; Company Executive Officer, E Company, Forward Support Company, 3rd Battalion, 82nd Airborne General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB) at Fort Bragg, NC; Battalion S4, Headquarters and Headquarter Company, 3rd Battalion, 82nd GSAB at Fort Bragg, NC; Sustainment Brigade Petroleum Operations Officer, Headquarters,16th Sustainment Brigade in Bamberg, Germany; Company Commander, 574th Quartermaster Support Company, USAG-Grafenwoehr, Germany; Division Sustainment Plans Officer and Division Deputy G4, Headquarters, 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, TX; Brigade Operations Officer (S3) and Battalion Executive Officer, Headquarters and 142nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 1st Sustainment Brigade, 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, TX; Garrison Executive Officer/Chief of Plans and Operations Division, United States Army Garrison-Bavaria, Grafenwoehr, Germany. He also served in key staff positions as the Brigade Operations Officer for the Afghanistan Security Forces Assistance Brigade, at Bagram Air Base, Kabul, Afghanistan; and Commander of U.S. Department of State Material Retrograde Element and Mobile Retrograde Property Accountability and Assistance Team, Office of Security Cooperation-Iraq, U.S. Embassy, Bagdad, Iraq. During his most recent assignment, LTC Haynes served as the 377th Theater Sustainment Command Petroleum Branch Chief and Chief of Current Operations (G33) in New Orleans, Louisiana.
His deployments include Operation Enduring Freedom II, Operation New Dawn (Kuwait), Operation Inherent Resolve I and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.
LTC Haynes’ awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal, NATO Medal (2nd award), the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 2 campaign stars, Armed Forces Service Medal (COVID-19), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon Numeral 6, Meritorious Unit Commendation (2nd award), the Parachutist Badge.
LTC Haynes is married to the former Brooke Hendrix of Decatur, Alabama, who is a culinary school-trained chef; they have two daughters, Ava (10) and Ilarya (8).
