SHIPPING AND RECEIVING OPERATING TIMES
All commercial carriers delivering inbound freight or picking up outbound freight is from 6:30am (PST) to 2:00pm (PST), each day - Monday - Thursday. This action is necessary to insure all truckload inbound and outbound freight shipment are processed expeditiously, and all carriers depart SIAD installation at or before 4:00 pm (PST). The facility is closed for lunch from 11:30am-12:00pm (PST).
TWIC CARDS are no longer accepted at Sierra Army Depot starting 26 AUG 2019. A background check prior to entering the facility is required for all drivers. Arrive to our facility and allow enough time to complete your background check which can average 30-60 minutes. If your background check is not complete and you are not checked in within our shipping and receiving hours, you will have to wait until the next operating business day. TRUCK ENTRY INTO THE INSTALLATION:
Installation Security: Adults, teenagers and children with no valid reason to enter this installation will not be allowed entry. This restriction applies to all commercial truck drivers/transportation service providers (TSP), delivering or picking up freight shipment to and from this installation. Truck drivers are NOT allowed to be accompanied by spouses, children, friends or relatives when entering this installation for the purpose of delivering or picking up freight shipment. The only exception are those TSPs operating their trucking equipment as a team or dual drivers, and the shipment being picked up or delivered specifically, states this type service.
Real Act ID
As a reminder, all Federal agencies are prohibited from accepting driver s licenses or state identification cards from states deemed non-REAL ID Act compliant(Minnesota, Missouri, and Washington), without an extension for physical access to Federal installations/facilities. A list of alternative IDs that may be accepted in lieu of non-REAL ID compliant IDs can be found on the DHS website at https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publications/isc-real-id-guide-august-2015-508_0.pdf.
OVER DIMENSIONAL / OVER WEIGHT PERMITS - DRIVER MUST PRESENT THE LASSEN COUNTY ROAD TO HWY 395 AND STATE OF CALIFORNIA TRANSPORTATION PERMITS TO NV STATE LINE WHEN CHECKING IN AT SIERRA ARMY DEPOT TRANSPORTATION OFFICE. ANY TSP WITHOUT THE PROPER DOCUMENTATION WILL BE DELAYED IN LOADING.
